Editorial Policy
How we research, write, review, and disclose our bike and e-bike coverage.
How We Research Guides
We start each guide with the buying decision, not the product catalog. A guide to e-bikes under $1,500 and a guide to kids’ bike sizing use different criteria because the underlying decisions are different. Specs, manufacturer claims, and price are always checked against practical questions: how does this actually fit the commute, the budget, or the rider it’s written for.
Product Selection Standards
We do not accept payment for positive reviews, rankings, or placement in a buying guide. Affiliate commission rates do not decide which products or categories we cover. Where our shop pages feature products from a specific advertiser, that relationship is disclosed — see our Affiliate Disclosure page for the full explanation.
Where we haven’t yet independently reviewed a specific product, we say so — shop and product pages sourced from a partner’s catalog are marked clearly until they’ve been through our own editorial review.
Updates and Corrections
Guides are reviewed and updated when pricing changes, products are discontinued, regulations change (e-bike class laws vary by state and do change), or new context changes a recommendation. Each guide shows a "last updated" date.
