Budget-Friendly Daily Commuter
You will mostly ride, not fold — a regular commuter will ride better for the same money.
SKN is built around a Hi-Ten steel 20" folding frame with a Shimano Tourney 7-speed drivetrain and mechanical disc brakes — straightforward, easy-to-maintain components for everyday city riding. At 15.6kg with a 100kg max combined load, it's a practical entry point into folding bikes.
It's on the heavier side for a folding commuter bike — our folding bike guide suggests 24–28 lbs (about 11–12.7kg) as the sweet spot for daily carrying, and this bike's steel frame puts it noticeably above that. It's a reasonable tradeoff for the price, but if you're carrying it up stairs every day, a lighter aluminum folder will feel easier over time.
A Shimano Tourney 7-speed drivetrain — entry-level but functional for flat-to-rolling commutes. It won't climb as easily as a bike with a wider gear range.
